Spanish Center of Kenosha, Racine & Walworth County

ben-1

Dear Friends,

We have begun a new year and look forward to an exciting and challenging era of the Spanish center of Southeastern Wisconsin! I have this irresistible tickle to inform you that the Center ended the fiscal year in the black which was an accomplished with the direction of the Board of Directors and the sacrifices that staff endured. I congratulate staff and the Board and I am extremely proud of what has been accomplished. The Center actually had 13, 270 face to face contacts with individuals and their families which was an example of the need and issues that families brought to us during 2010. A year of much economic pain and the ramifications that comes with it. The Center has survived and we will continue to deliver much needed services to our community.

Our thanks for the support that Kenosha County has provided in giving us direction and assistance and to the City of Kenosha for their valued support. As a non-profit organization we greatly value and thank our supporters and donors that without them we would not have accomplished in meeting our goals. There are too many to mention but from the bottom of our heart muchas gracias!

In the New Year we will be moving and become a vital presence at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club new building located on 52nd Street. It will be a new era for the Center and the community as a whole. Several organizations will be housed at this magnificent site and the community will have access to social services, medical and youth services at one site. A dream comes true!

It will not be an easy year, the economic climate will take time to change, budget cuts are looming but we are confident that with your support we will weather the storms that lay ahead and with our commitment to better serve the community it is an unbeatable recipe.

We will be bringing back several of our fundraising events and possibly adding new and exciting events that will be of your interest. Keep an eye open you will hear from us soon.

Our board, staff and the people we serve thank you so much for all you have done for us. We humbly ask to please continue your support and if you have not been able to do so think of us and those in need. Again muchisimas gracias por todo!!!!

As always at your service
